Introducing Flower Therapy

Introducing Flower Therapy

Flowers and plants have almost always been a part of our daily lives and are deeply embedded in almost every culture. We use them to decorate our living spaces, mark the special occasions in life, enhance and make celebrations even more special, and use them to convey emotions and sentiments that words alone cannot do. Some flowers and plants have been known for centuries to have healing properties and there are many for each culture. Unlike our ancestors, we have access to flowers and plants from around the world, not just those that grow locally. As florists, we know the importance and benefits of being surrounded by flowers and plants, but now science is proving what we've been saying for years. Research highlights their profound impact on mental health and well-being. Studies have shown that flowers contribute positively to mental well-being in many ways in many places.

Simply having flowers and plants in our homes and offices not only improves overall wellbeing and improves mood, but also has a calming influence and promotes relaxation. They help reduce stress, lessen anxiety, and possibly help with depression, while encouraging creativity and productivity . Plants also affect physical health, they can trap dust and moisture and absorb toxins and pollutants like carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, mold spores, and formaldehyde. They help decompose nicotine and benzene, and raise oxygen levels.

We've delved into many scientific studies and ancient cultures, we've studied the history and biology of many plants and flowers, and we've taken into account many practices such as Mindfulness, Meditation, and Manifestation. We've used this information to choose which flowers and plants to use for our Flower Therapy. Our Flower Therapy is a weekly or bi-weekly delivery of either a vase of flowers or a foliage plant. Flowers and plants are chosen for their affect on our senses: beauty, fragrance, and color, as well as reported health effects. Each item comes in a decorative vase or pot to compliment your home. In addition, with each delivery, we include meditation tips from author Olivia Rosewood and suggestions for using nature to improve your physical and mental health..
